Anybody played with this rod, I've tried 570,600 and 630 grains, for some reason they're I have not been able to find the magic bullet. They all work fine but usually one seems to stand out and it's not happening.

if they all work fine, pick one and go fishing.... or, tie on the biggest fly in your box and see which line works best...that's the true test because anything smaller will jam.

FYI, while I was trying to figure out the right line for my new rod I discovered that the Airflo Compact Skagits can very a lot. I first weighed the 570 that I'd been fishing for a while and found out that it was 608gn. Which led me to go weigh some others (I know I sound like a long bellied spey geek) I weighed 2 540's and they were 525 and 584, two other 570's which were 570 & 592, a 510 which was 520. In comparison I weighed 4 Rio Skagit Flights and all of them were within 5gns of their stated value.
I'm glad I did it because I was a little perplexed with why my 570 felt no different from the 600, at least I know why.

You should pass this on to Mr. Rajeff himself at Rajeff Sports.  He'd probably like to hear that.
