Have any of you used turkey flats as a supporting hackle?  If so, does it swim like this guy's fly?  I'm pretty impressed with how this fly looks in the tank.

This is very similar to how Ed Ward ties his Intruders.  Turkey is a great material.  I put it in a dubbing loop so I can adjust the length of the fibers.  Combine deer hair with turkey in the collar area and the fly retains some buoyancy, which is good for how I like to fish my large flies.
